Does your club, association or zone have a defibrillator?
As the 2019 winter season fast approaches this is the perfect time to purchase a defibrillator.
The Office of Sport Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program is now open for sporting clubs across NSW. The grant assists clubs in the purchase and maintenance of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
Daniel Ristic, Manager – Government Relations, Funding and Infrastructure commented “This is a great opportunity for clubs, associations and zones to take advantage of the funding that is being made available. AED’s are a life saving device that every club in NSW should have”
An AED delivers a controlled shock to an individual experiencing cardiac arrest, increasing their chances of survival.
Cardiac Arrest and the Use of Defibrillators
The Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program provides NSW sports clubs and councils the opportunity to acquire an AED package for their club or sports facility at a reduced cost.
Grants are available up to 50 per cent of the AED packages in Zones 1 and 2 and up to 75 per cent in Zone 3. Please check which zone your club is in before you apply.
Applications close 6 May 2019.
